El Regalo

Writing and co-illustrating the story "El Regalo" was a cathartic experience. For several months, I delved into finding a way for an abstract stain to represent an emotion. I transitioned from words to images and then to larger formats, exploring different materials such as fabric and acrylic. These pieces are the result of that creative exercise.

And it became a book...

This project has been one of life's greatests "gifts". I was able to express with color and shape a process that was so personal and yet so universal and relatable.

From the book I migrated towards different materials and larger formats, again, the gift that keeps on giving.

It is a pleasure for me to share this work, which in a way, showed me how to navigate from emotion, to expression and beyond.
